Online sessions

Each year, we organize four company visits as part of our commitment to knowledge sharing within the procurement community. During these sessions, we dive into a real-life case that’s currently on the table, providing a valuable opportunity for supply chain networking. It's a chance not only to understand how another organization is structured but also to strengthen one another—so you don’t have to reinvent the wheel on your own.

After 20 years in the procurement field, I’ve undergone a transformation. Where I once drew energy from complex negotiations and strategic sourcing projects, I now find my greatest fulfillment in something else: connecting people within our procurement community.

This shift didn’t happen overnight. Throughout my career, I increasingly noticed that the most meaningful breakthroughs occurred when procurement professionals engaged in knowledge sharing. A casual coffee break conversation often yielded more insights than a formal training. A networking moment sometimes sparked the solution to a complex problem someone had been struggling with for weeks.

I realized there’s a deep need for genuine knowledge sharing in our sector. Not the theoretical content from textbooks, but the practical wisdom that only comes from experience. The stories of failures that teach valuable lessons. The creative solutions that actually work in practice.

At the same time, I saw many organizations struggling to find the right procurement talent while seasoned professionals were ready for a new challenge. This mismatch frustrated me, because I knew that the right supply chain networking connections could unlock tremendous value.

That’s why I founded this community. My role is that of connector and facilitator. I bring together people who can learn from one another, strengthen each other, and shape the future of procurement—together.

Over 20 years ago, I realized that I draw energy from connecting people, organizations, and ideas. A few years later, I began facilitating knowledge sharing between individuals and organizations—and I still do so today, with great joy.

In all my communities, the focus is on the individual. What does someone need to be successful? The answer often lies in helping people discover new ideas and insights for themselves. The experiences of others can make all the difference. So can ideas or applications from other sectors—not always transferable one-to-one, but often a solid foundation to build on and adapt to one’s own role and organization.

When shaping and organizing our approach, I often reflect on the many gatherings and events I’ve attended myself—from small and local to large-scale international ones, both at home and abroad. These include various trainings I’ve taken—or now teach. This experience has reinforced the understanding that variety matters: doing things just a little differently each time.

I’m excited to launch our Procurement Community together with Claudia and all the other participants, aiming to make a real impact—for everyone involved and for the organizations they represent. Whatever the challenge may be, we’ll tackle it together through effective supply chain networking.

My current networks across various sectors—HR, ESG, Communications, Transformation—combined with your input, will undoubtedly spark ideas for my role as a connector and facilitator within our procurement community.
